***RECAP*** NDG- 6.27.15 - Artist's session

Our scheduled model cancelled an hour before his sitting, and our backup was a no-show today, so...

Plan C, a few of the artists each took a 10 minute pose.

Date: 6-27-15
Time: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Model: Ryan (no picture this time as the model has privacy/employment concerns)
Fee: $15 (or more if you wish to give)
Snacks provided

Please arrive by 1:45 to disrobe, set up and socialize before we begin.
Easels and drawing boards available.
Please bring your own supplies
No aerosols or solvents as we do not have facilities to handle them.
The model will be lit with photographer's lights and will be posed in timed poses.
If you need reference shots for personal use, please bring a model release form and be prepared to personally negotiate with the model during one of the breaks.

In order to attend this group, you must be a member.

James offered up wonderful poses for us, as usual, and to quote one of our members "We almost felt unworthy to draw him."  He's in great shape, holds his poses well, and is wonderful to work with.

In light of the warmer seasons ahead, and for added convenience of our model, this session will run from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. 

The drawing group meets at a local gallery in DC not far from Barracks Row.

Sparsely attended but lively group this evening.

Steve brought along a sword, and a helmet.

Great model. Very good at holding a facial expression for extended periods.

Apparently he's bringing Norse-gear (sword and helmet?)

Snacks provided (likely sandwiches from Litteri's) - bring more to share if you wish.
