*** July Schedule *** Special 3-session month

Hello and welcome to the Naked Drawing Group of Washington DC.

This month, we have three scheduled models:

July 1, Steve will be joining us for the first time. He's an experienced figure model here in the DC area and, from what I understand comes to us from the DMV Starkers group.

July 15, John, one of our group favorites and our founding model, will be joining us for a session. Lots of outside work will likely show up in a good strong tan line and that good Summer definition.

July 29, Mitch will be joining us. He is new to our group but has done some commercial photo as well as figure modeling in the area.

His portfolio is available to be viewed at the following link; http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/812725/viewall#/32556446

Sessions run from 7:30 to 9:30 on alternating Tuesday evenings at Vitruvian Gallery. 734 7th street SE, Washington, DC. The gallery can be reached by Eastern Market and the National's Stadium Metro stops. Street parking is available but can fluctuate due to events at the Marine Barracks and the Stadium. Please arrive by 7:15 to set up and have a bit of social time before we begin.

The fee for entry is $12 and goes toward model fees and space costs. Snacks are provided by me, as based on the time of our group, some of us haven't had time to eat a meal since lunch, and well-fed artists are happier artists. You are more than welcome to bring something to eat or share if you wish.

Easels and drawing boards are available, but each artist should bring their own supplies. Please refrain from bringing materials which require solvents or aerosols, as the space has limited facilities to handle them.

As indicated by our name, we draw in the nude. The model is nude. The artists are nude. Why do we do it?  Firstly, its fun. Secondly, it seems to break an unspoken hierarchy that sometimes exists in some more conventional drawing groups and tends to make for a more relaxed and more social group. Some artists are more comfortable clothed. We are more comfortable naked.

As of July 1, I will be reviewing the mailing list. Those who have not previously sent me a "KEEP" notification, or recently attended a drawing session may be eliminated from the mailing list. I do not wish to keep sending mail to people on the mailing list who delete it without reading it as one more thing to do in an already busy life.

If you wish to be be removed from our mailing list, send an email to ndg.draw.naked@gmail.com with "REMOVE" as the subject line, and I'll take you off the list.

Looking forward to Tuesday.

Draw Naked.
