*** NDG July 2014 Session # 2 - John ***

Hello Folks:

Welcome to NDG - the Washington DC Naked Drawing Group.

We are a private group (membership required) which meets at Vitruvian Gallery every other Tuesday to draw, be naked, usually eat some snacks, and help each other grow as artists, fellow nudists and friends. Sessions run from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm  with social breaks between poses. Artists are expected to arrive by 7:15 to set up their areas and for a bit of social time before we begin. There is a fee of $12 used to cover model costs and facilities. Exact change brings good karma. Big bills will not be changed.

How we differ from other drawing groups is that both the model and the artists are naked. This seems to foster a liberated sense of creativity and open social discourse. Artists are encourage to walk around the room, chat, and take a look at each other's creative works.

As with gatherings of naked men, erections sometimes happen with the models and the artists. Occasionally, models are encouraged to assume erotic poses. In other drawing groups, the session is interrupted and the model is excused to compose themselves.

In our group, we refocus the erotic energy in the room back into the art, sometimes with energetic and surprising results.

This session, John, our founding model (and one of our club favorites) who occasionally joins us to draw as well, will be posing for us, likely sporting summer tan lines on a leaned-down for summer body.



And now for the more serious stuff...

As noted previously, we are a private group. Notices were sent out under separate cover to prompt our members to opt-in for our mailings. This was done in an effort to weed-out inactive members, and people who have had intentions of joining us to draw, but for whatever reasons, were unable to make it work. This was also done in an effort not to be one more email that people have to manage as part of an over-burdened day.

If you did not receive an email from and were previously on the mailing list, you either did not send us a notice that you were interested in remaining on the list, have not attended a session in the past two months or introduced yourself to me so I could acknowledge your attendance, or hid in a corner when you came and never told us your name. :)

If you were on the list, and didn't get an email on Sunday night/Monday morning, send an email to ndg.draw.naked@gmail.com. If your request is received and you do not attend a session within two months of receipt of your email, you will not be added to the mailing list.

We provide recaps, drawings from members and info about our group here on the blog. Our emails contain information intended expressly for group members. If you don't intend to show up, its not really in your or our interest to put you on the mailing list. For anyone offended by this change in group policy, you have my sincerest apologies.

In addition, we do not provide contact information for the models in our group without the express permission of the models. We are not an agency nor are we a message-forwarding service for the models currently or formerly on our roster. Thank you for respecting their privacy.
